From looking at current music videos from Eminem to Taylor swift, we have gained inspiration for our own music video. The general shots used are more close ups than long shots, due to the lip singing. They tend to do more low angle shots on the male music video's to make them appear bigger on screen. There was some unusal shots used in certain videos. Christina using mainly long shots of her dancing in a boxing ring. To Kanye west where the main shots are mid shots, showing both artists on screen.
From looking at all the current music videos, you also get a taste for the outfits. most of the girls tend to be wearing tight or short clothing, with the exception of Taylor swift. where as the males tend to be wearing more Formal things such as suits or polo t-shirts. This has given us ideas for the types of outfits we will be getting our protagonist wear.
We especially liked this shot underneath, becuase it showed there facial expression, both the side on and front on close up. And we plan to use them in our music video.

For our music Video we feel the kind of audience which would enjoy and most appreciate it would be younger people such as teenagers, or young adults. Becuase we have made the film so all Ages would enjoy it but we feel that younger people should be our target audience. From our c.d cover and Advertisment the colours used of Pink and Black make it more childish than grown up. The story line throught the music video would be easier for younger people to relate to, every girl having a "bad" and " good" girl inside them.
If we were to go on to promote the albumn then we would appear on t.v shows that younger people would watch at times where they would be most likely to see it , in the comercial breaks, instead of late at nights on BBC1 where the audience would be mainly adults.
Our music Video was inspired from musi such as The Veronicas and Taylor swift which to have a younger following, where not many adults would be aware of the band, and if they are it would be through there child.

The song itself "Perfect day" was used in the film Legally Blonde released in 2001 featuring Reece Witherspoon,. aimed mainly at teenage girls, so adapting that concept of younger people, we decided to keep with that theme for our music video.
In the music industry there are many types of music genre, such as rock, RNB and rap, however the genre we chose was that of pop, due to the fact that we, as a group, found more diverse conventions for the music video in this particular genre. Ideas such as being able to use band shots, yet also performance shots (as seen in music videos of the rock genre) may still fit in, and the beats are very "typical", and quite straightforward to sequence images and clips together. Moreover, we have been conducting research on other music videos of the same genre, and come to a few conclusions. Videos we have studied are:

These videos have two things in common: the pop genre and a female lead.
